Contract Description:

During FY 2009 PNNL will continue to operate and maintain a real-time temperature and water surface elevation data collection system in chum salmon spawning habitat within the Ives Island area. The data will be provided hourly via radio or cellular telemetry to the fish passage center, and used to assess emergence timing and redd dewatering during salmon spawning and incubation. During the summer following incubation and emergence, temperature and water surface elevation data will be compiled in a compendium and provided electronically to BPA.
